Welcome to Bristol InterLETS

InterLETS supports existing and new LETS Schemes in the Bristol area. It oversees intertrading between members of different groups. Representatives of around 8 autonomous schemes meet every few months to discuss issues affecting them. InterLETS hosted the Letslink UK National Conference in 1996. Currently we are engaging in discussions with other groups across the South West about a possible South West Regional support structure. Some groups in Bristol have joined up to the regional LETS "currency", the Celt, which will enable their members to trade with groups in Somerset, Dorset, Devon and Cornwall and also Wiltshire, Bath and Gloucestershire too.

The new Co-ordinator, Steve Heigham (see Local Schemes for contact details) handles much of the administrative side, and subgroups work on various projects such as the Website, the Celt, funding issues and the Newsletter itself. InterLETS is currently represented along with other Social Economy groups in the Bristol Partnership and is affiliated to LETSlink UK, the national LETS body. InterLETS also sends representatives to regional and national gatherings and conferences.
