Recent job of 9.5mm films of Derek Buckler
Dear Cliff and Emily- HOW DO YOU DO IT?
I have to say that I thought your adverts too good to be true BUT you must have some kind of magic wand. I sent you my films in an IMPOSSIBLE condition and when the parcel arrived back so soon I thought that you had returned my films with your apologies - but NO there was a DVD included.
My wife and I thought the DVD absolutely fantastic. I have to admit that it was an emotional experience for me. I had no idea what was on these 9.5mm films or in what order they should be, but strangely, you seem to have got them into chronological order. They ranged from photos of my family in the 1930s before I was born, life when they were billeted to a riverside chalet during the war, with me a few months old. Then on my fifth birthday (I am now 63) then from 8mm up to the third generation, with my great niece giving a dance at the end.I have to sincerely apologise for the two super 8mm which I had not listed. I had NOT meant to send them! I decided that I would see how the 9.5mm film turned out and then send the 8mm as another order. However, these were also very forgotten footage, also of family and included the only moving pictures of my late father in law into the 1970s, so just finished the whole film off perfectly.
MUSIC, even on professional "on the shelf" DVDs and videos is so often terrible and inappropriate but I thought that if the music is terrible then I can always switch the sound off. YOUR choice of music was just PERFECT and suitably tear jerking. Not obtrusive and yet not artificial or head banging. Thanks very much 100% satisfaction. You will be recommended to all I meet and, as I am editor of a club newsletter, I will give you a free splash in that (next issue March)
Very sincere regards, Malcolm
